About Me
My name is Cyerra Holmes, and I graduated from Stanford University, where I studied Science, Technology, and Society. I often think of my time at Stanford in two chapters.
The first was defined by my experience as a Division I lacrosse player, something I had worked toward for years. It was one of the most rewarding and demanding experiences of my life, pushing me both physically and mentally in ways I had not experienced before. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to perform in high-pressure environments, lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career.
The second chapter began when I became deeply involved in Stanford Women in Business (SWIB), where I held roles ranging from Finance Intern to Corporate Outreach Director, and eventually Co-President. Through SWIB, I was exposed to career paths I had not previously considered, built relationships with inspiring women across industries, and developed a passion for helping others navigate their own paths. I also founded the Stanford Black Pre-Business Mentorship Program to create more access, community, and support for students pursuing careers in business.
At Stanford, I also interned across industries, including AT&T, Goldman Sachs, and programs at Google, which sparked my interest in exploring multiple paths rather than following a single, linear trajectory.
After graduating, I moved to New York and began my career at Goldman Sachs, where I spent three years working across teams while also starting my own clothing brand. I later transitioned into fashion at Farfetch before returning to Stanford to earn my MBA from the Graduate School of Business. Following business school, I joined BCG as a consultant, and then went on to join ShopMy, a Series B startup at the intersection of fashion and technology. I currently work at Google.
Across finance, consulting, tech, startups, and luxury fashion, I have had the rare opportunity to build a career across multiple industries, shaped by a wide range of interests and a desire to explore. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate those decisions.
Over the years, I have had hundreds of conversations with students and young professionals trying to figure out their next step, whether that is breaking into a competitive industry, making a pivot, or deciding if business school is the right move.
My goal is to help you approach your career with more clarity, confidence, and strategy so you can make decisions that actually align with the life you want to build.
Outside of work, I have always had a range of interests and creative outlets. I love to run, sew, and continue exploring fashion through both personal styling and vintage sourcing.
